At the beginning of dusk, street lamps radiated warm light in the night sky of the city. People who come and go have long been used to lighting the street lights on time every evening and quietly going out in the morning. However, they rarely know that there is a group of people behind them who have been taking good care of these bright lights that light up the city. On the fourth day of the new year, the reporter came to Shanghai street lamp management center located in Wuzhong road to visit the "messenger of light" of these cities.

Jin Duowen said with a smile that he is a "lamp holder". His management center has more than 170 employees and manages 500000 street lamps on the municipal roads of 17 districts and counties in Shanghai. "It is not modest to say that we are the unit that manages the most street lamps per capita in China and manages the most street lamps with the least people."

In the emergency command center of the management center, the reporter saw that there were no rush repair personnel shuttling here and there, and there was no usual large electronic screen. There were only two computers, a conference table and several chairs. "Our intelligent monitoring system has achieved 20% coverage of the city's street lamps. It has also achieved single lamp control for 10974 street lamps in core sections such as inner ring road, Bund, Lujiazui and Huaihai Road. It can not only monitor the operation of street lamps in real time, but also accurately turn on and off the lamps to a few minutes and seconds." Sui Wenbo, deputy director of the management center, is an "old street lamp" with ten years of street lamp management experience. As he spoke, he turned on the monitoring system to check.

Jin Duowen introduced that during the Spring Festival, in addition to the emergency repair teams in the management center, there are 25 emergency repair teams distributed on the territory of the city. Each team has 3-10 people on duty and on standby for 24 hours to fully ensure the safety of street lamps. "The coverage of intelligent monitoring system will make the maintenance and troubleshooting of street lamps more convenient and efficient. By 2014, 500000 street lamps on Shanghai municipal roads will be monitored by computer, and the coverage of single lamp control will be expanded to 30%, which will further improve the intelligent level of street lamp management in Shanghai."

During the Spring Festival this year, nearly 3000 employees of Shanghai electric power company stick to their posts to ensure that citizens can use electricity safely and safely. The power staff carried out hidden danger investigation and status detection on 4733 distribution network equipment in important areas of Shanghai, and conducted at least one live detection on the power supply equipment of important lines, important places and important users.
